These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Book Club (“Book Club,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your access to and use of our website, online store, and in‑store services (together, the "Services"). By accessing our site or purchasing from us online or in store, you agree to these Terms.

2) Using our Services
You must be at least the age of majority in your place of residence to purchase from us. You agree not to use the Services for unlawful purposes.
3) Online store platform
Our online store is hosted on a third‑party ecommerce platform enabling us to sell products.
4) Products, pricing & availability
Pre-loved books are unique items and may show minor wear. Prices are in NZD and are subject to change prior to checkout.
5) Orders, payment & account information
We may accept, limit, or cancel orders at our discretion. You agree to provide accurate information.
6) Shipping, click & collect, and risk
Shipping offered to NZ addresses. Risk passes on delivery or pickup.
7) Returns, refunds & the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
For our Returns Policy, please refer to our Shipping & Returns which contains the Returns Policy.
8) Gift vouchers & promotions
Gift vouchers and promo codes are subject to their specific terms.
9) Events, book club sessions & in‑store services
Event bookings may be non‑refundable unless cancelled.
10) Donating books
Donations become our property upon receipt and cannot be returned.
11) Content, reviews & your submissions
You grant us a licence to use content you submit.
12) Intellectual property
All content is owned by or licensed to Book Club.
13) Third‑party services & links
We are not responsible for third‑party sites.
14) Privacy
Your information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
15) Disclaimer & limitation of liability
Services are provided "as is" to the extent permitted by NZ law.
16) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us for breaches of these Terms.
17) Changes to the Services or these Terms
We may update these Terms; continued use is acceptance.
18) Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by New Zealand law.
19) Severability & entire agreement
If any part is invalid, the rest remains effective.
