Wild India: The Wildlife and Scenery of India and Nepal

Published in association with the World Wide Fund, "Wild India" seeks to record the diversity and to capture the atmosphere of the sub-continent's wild places and wilderness areas, while at the same time confronting the key conservation issues affecting the continued existence of the region's wildlife.;In his text, Guy Mountfort provides an overview of the animal and plant life of the area, and an account of the ecological damage wrought by deforestation and human pressures. Gerald Cubitt's 400 photographs prove, however, that despite the threats to their natural heritage, India and Nepal are still rich in scenic beauty and in their wealth of flora and fauna.
